Almost all adults in Scouting, including uniformed leaders, are volunteers. They give their time for free. But they are trained volunteers – the Scout Association has a thorough training programme that all Leaders undertake. All leaders have to undergo a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, supply personal references and be approved by an Adult Appointments Committee before their first appointment. Appointments are also subject to regular review and renewal.
Each section has its own leadership team and runs its own programme but there are close links between the sections. The group is managed by an executive committee who take responsibility for group finances, safety, recruitment and support the uniformed leaders.

Dear Sir/Madame
I hope this email finds you well.
My name is Sarah Sims-Feilding. I am the owner of a new childcare holiday club called Vim Camps Ltd. We run fun and engaging clubs for children aged 4 to 12 years throughout the school holidays in East and West Sussex.
We are currently looking for a venue with outdoor space and a small inside area with toilets, to hold our clubs during the school summer holidays this year. These are the weeks we are currently looking for:
24th to 28th July
31st July to 4th August
14th to 18th August
21st to 25th August
28th August to 1st Sept
We would be looking to hire your venue Monday to Friday from 8am to 4 pm each day. (The holiday club will be running from 9am to 3pm).
Your venue has the perfect combination of outside space as well as offering indoor facilities which would be prefect for us to run some exciting and fun sessions for the children who attend our clubs.
At VIM Camps we ensure that all our clubs are run with strict safeguarding guidelines. All our staff are qualified, and DBS checked. They also have Safeguarding and First Aid training as well as lots of experience of working with children in a holiday club setting and we are fully insured with Morton Michel Childcare insurers.
VIM Camps is an inclusive organisation who caters for all children. We offer sessions for children who have complex needs (SEND). All children are supported individually with fully trained staff with up-to-date training and knowledge and a robust care plan in place for those children that need extra assistance or safeguarding.
We pride ourselves in knowing that all our parents have peace of mind that when their children are with us they are in a safe and nurturing environment as well as learning new skills and having the lots and lots of fun!
If you could let us know if you have any availability on the dates mentioned above as well as your prices for renting your venue it would be greatly appreciated.
We very much look forward to hearing from you soon.
With thanks and kind regards
Seb (Sarah) Sims-Fielding
